Information for Child Care Centres

How care is delivered?
A qualified dental practitioner will attend the centre to provide oral health care on-site. Our team collaborates with the centre or school to deliver the program with minimal disruption to staff and students, while adhering to National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, local regulations, and site-specific requirements.
What does your portable equipments look like and what do you need at the service location?
We bring our fully portable dental chair, unit, and equipment directly to the centre. Everything fits neatly into a small corner of a room—all we need is access to a power point.
What does the visit include?
Each visit includes a dental check-up, teeth cleaning and polish, application of a remineralising agent (if needed), dental x-rays (if indicated), and oral hygiene education. Every child will receive a free prize pack to take home, including a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a small toy. Parents will be emailed a detailed dental report outlining the treatments completed, key findings, and any recommended follow-up care.
Do Parents need to be present at the time of visit?
Parents do not need to be present during their child's appointment. However, if you would prefer to attend, please indicate this on the consent form or contact us before the scheduled visit. Our team will get in touch to arrange a suitable time for you to be present.
Are there any fees involved?
There is absolutely no cost to the centre or school for our visit. We bulk bill eligible children under the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). Eligibility is checked prior to the visit once consent forms are submitted. If a child is not eligible under CDBS, Mobile Dentistry Services offers a check-up and clean capped at $75. For families with private health insurance, we can provide an invoice for claiming. If a child is absent or declines treatment on the day, refund will be issued to the parent or guardian.
